For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain name. We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail; aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit; and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web page and shared with other reputable organizations to help them contact consumers for marketing purposes. It is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes. Information pieces we send out include, but are not limited to; Winter Getaway promotion, seasonal Visitors Guide to Greater Madison, Official Kid's Guide to Greater Madison, GMCVB member brochures and materials, etc.

If you do not want to information from the GMCVB via e-mail, mail or any other source, please let us know by sending us e-mail at gmcvb@visitmadison.com. Customers may prevent their information from being used for purposes other than those for which it was originally collected by emailing us at gmcvb@visitmadison.com.

We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server companies.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our Web site to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our Web site periodically.

Whenever the GMCVB handles information that you enter on its site, regardless of where this occurs, we take steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Use and this Privacy Policy. Unfortunately, no data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. As a result, while striving to protect your personal information, the GMCVB cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make reasonable efforts to ensure its security on our systems.

CHILDRENS' PRIVACY POLICY

We collect the following personal information from children (under the Join the Kid's Club! Form): Name, Address, Birth date, and Email addresses. (other fields provided, but not required include: Title, Company/Organization, Phone, Fax, Web Site, Purpose of your visit to Madison, When was your last visit to Madison?, and When do you plan on visiting Madison? - as these are standard fields on our website forms.) The GMCVB will not require a child to disclose any more information than is reasonably needed to participate in an activity as a condition of participation.

The information collected through inquiries from the www.visitmadison.com Kid's Corner Request Form is used solely for the purposes of fulfilling orders sent by the participating individual. Fulfillment materials involve (but are not limited to) joining the Greater Madison Convention & Visitor Bureau Kid's Club, which includes receiving a Kid's Club Membership Card, The Official Kid's Guide to Greater Madison(tm), a Birthday Card, a quarterly Kid's Club newsletter, and other special promotions.

Information collected from children is not shared with any third parties at this time. You as a parent, have the option to agree to the collection and use of the kid's information without agreeing to the disclosure to any third parties.

As a parent, you have the ability to review any information submitted, ask to have it deleted, and refuse to allow further collection or use of information from the child.
